According to the Wikipedia, The US military is the second-largest in the world. It comprises of various component departments such as US Army, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Air Force, US Coast Guard and US National Guard. These branches are all part of the United States Uniformed services and are controlled by the present president that serves as their Commander-in-Chief.
The number of US Air Force dominates the US Military population with more than 37% of its total personnel. Next in line are the US Navy with 24% and US Air Force with 23%. Marine Corps and Coast Guards complete the list with 13% and 3% of population each.
