Honor The Principles
29 January 2009
LDS members accept the Holy Bible as divine scripture given by God to his prophets. This holy writ chronicles his dealings with His people from the time of Adam until the birth of Christ and from the birth of Christ through the workings of His Apostles following His resurrection and ascension to heaven.
Latter-day Saints teach and abide by the doctrines and principles of the Bible and honor a certain dress code by wearing LDS Temple clothing. These teachings can be found every Sunday in weekly worship as well as in LDS temples.
God talks to and loves all of his children. He gives all of his children an equal opportunity at knowledge and exaltation. One example of this is found in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. This is also divine scripture that deals with Gods dealings with another group of people on the earth living on the American continent. These people were taught the same doctrines that are found in the Bible.
The Book of Mormon teaches of Christ and his atonement, of repentance, faith, and charity. God spoke to these people and following his resurrection came to personally visit and teach the people of the American continent, fulfilling His promise that He has other sheep that He would visit. The Book of Mormon is designed to increase faith in Christ and supply another witness of His divinity as the Son of God.
