Cherub Clip Art
If you stop by any crafting fair or online craft site between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, chances are you’ll see plenty of cherubs images incorporated into a variety of products. On handmade cards, jewelry box covers and even purses, these diminutive angel images reign supreme as religious symbols that have crossed over to have secular appeal. Cherubs have become so universal; people see them different depending on the context. For example, a cherub incorporated as part of a religious painting in a church is an obvious symbol of God’s love. That same cherub seen on a refrigerator magnet can appear as a delightful little scamp who is more mischievous than helpful. As with all things, it’s in the eye of the beholder.
