A comparison between online studies and correspondence courses
When the use of computers and internet was low, then correspondence courses were widely used for distance education. Correspondence courses were dependant on the postal system and were slow. But now computers are widely used and Online Studies are being widely accepted worldwide. This mode of distance education is faster and the interaction between student and tutor is faster. This is why online studies are quickly taking over as the method of distance education. Sometimes in correspondence courses, material is lost and there is delay, but this is not the case in online studies as material is sent immediately and even if it is lost, it can be resent immediately.
