Boy Experiences Head Trauma in Morristown Crash

Local authorities in Morristown, Vermont are looking into a car accident which occurred late Monday afternoon, the serious crash resulting in a three-year-old boy being rushed to the hospital with a head injury.

Kristopher Knight, age 34, his wife Elizabeth Knight, age 26, and their 3 year old son were all traveling in Morristown .  Their Toyota Corolla was stopped along Vermont 15, near the intersection of Garfield Road, when a Ford Ranger rear ended them at around 2 p.m..

The Ranger, driven by James Russell, age 65 and from Wolcott, impacted them at such a speed that the Corolla was jolted.  Luckily the young boy, who has yet to be identified, was securely strapped into his car seat, otherwise he may have been ejected from the vehicle.  However, he did still experience significant trauma to his head when the car jerked back and forth.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and whether Russell was under the influence at the time.  If so, charges are likely.  Either way, the Knights should consult car accident lawyers to find out if they have any legal recourse or are entitled to compensation which may assist in their son’s treatment.
