I really don’t have a lot of money for furniture for my kids’ room, so I decided to try to get multipurpose furniture. I am going to get them storage platform beds. I was at work today and everyone was watching the television in the lounge because we are expecting a hurricane to hit in a few days.  The weather man is saying that there is a possibility that Flora could miss us and go the other way.  I am not taking any chances so as soon as I get off from work I will be going to the store for some Hurricane Supplies.  I still need to buy some bottled water, some canned foods and gas for my generator.  I have a bunch of candles left over from Christmas so I could use them if necessary.

Went for a run again last week, about 4 miles. First time I’ve ever ran before breakfast. Actually enjoyed it though my legs felt like lead for some reason. Quite hilly around here so it was a bit tough! Nice view of the mountains and of some ludicrously large houses. Its an affluent neighborhood Troutville. Mind you I do wonder how Americans can be so ‘neighborly’ when their houses are so far apart! Also plenty of totally over-the-top Christmas decorations… houses lit up like Blackpool illuminations! And ample proof yet again that having money does not mean you have any taste. Speaking of taste, I love my new alpenrost coffee Roaster, which makes the beans taste great.
