Carbohydrates produce high glucose and insulin levels. However, a diet that is mixed with high protein foods and carbohydrates seem to improve acne breakouts. Diet alone does not cure acne. However, a healthy diet helps to purify the body and improve a person’s overall health. Teens should limit the amount of sodas and sugary snacks. Likewise, adults should choose whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, instead of the convenient high processed foods.
