Are Asthma And Acid Reflux Related?

Asthma and acid reflux symptoms are related because acid reflux makes the asthma attack occur more often and more severe. There is no concrete medical explanation of how these two diseases interact. In some studies, asthmatics were injected with acid into their gullets, and later experienced more severe  asthma attacks. Some scientists think that when a person has an  asthma attack, they labor to breathe and gastric acid is forced to move up the esophagus. These two chronic diseases are triggered by certain things like food, smoke or lifestyle. Therefore, the patient must watch what he eats or drinks, and avoid allergens that trigger the disease, which can be the cure.
