Handy Books About The Menopause
I was looking through my "collection" of womens health books this week and found a couple I really enjoyed reading, so thought I share them with you:
‘The Change: Women, Aging and the Menopause" by Germaine Greer (Alfred A.Knopf). As a Washington Post reviewer said, Greer is aggravating and provocative, but she has written a "coherent and carefully argued" book. Greer insists that growing old is a positive development, and she provides information about possible therapeutic interventions for menopause, both traditional and nontraditional."Estrogen: Is It Right for You?" by Paula Dranov (Fireside). Dranov is a contributing editor to Cosmopolitan magazine and is co-author of "Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer: Beating the Odds." This book presents the pros and con, the benefits and dangers, the different forms of estrogen and HRT for treating menopause symptoms – and leaves the ultimate decision in the hands of the reader.
