Obesity – The new health epidemic
The problem with obesity in the western world is gowing into epic proportions. Not a day goes buy were we don’t hear or see a report about the growing waist line of our population and all the health risks along with it.
One sector that is often blamed is the fast food industry, and rightfully so. Obesity is just one of the health problems from fast food along with an excess of sodium that can lead to heart problems and high blood pressure. Then there are all that fat and preservatives that make the food taste good and cheap for the manufacturer. Neither of which is good for our bodies.
The alternative? Stay away from fast food as much as possible by planning ahead and packing a lunch or having dinner cook in the crockpot while you’re at work. Not only is it much better on your waistline and for your health, you’ll even end up saving money.
