Although, you can do real estate short sales anytime, it is probably not wise to do it over Christmas when everybody is supposed to be on holiday. Some people think that Christmas is a good time to do a real estate short sale because everybody is happy including by officers.
The problem is that people may be too happy to think seriously about foreclosure problems or real estate short sale.
Whatever agreement you reach with the bank officer, you will now have to get it in writing or face the fact that there is a chance that the bank officer will not remember what agreement was reached after Christmas.
