Homebuyers have become more aware of the advantages of owning a modular home

The modular home industry is rapidly overcoming the common misconception that all factory built homes are the same. Because so many mobile and manufactured homes rolled out of factories poorly built and no where near the quality of stick-built homes, factory built housing became stigmatic. In reality, the term factory-built describes several different types of homes covering a very broad range of quality. Modular homes are homes built in sections or modular units in a plant. These modules are then delivered to the home site and attached to a permanent foundation or basement. A modular home becomes a permanent dwelling once it is set in place. This distinguishes it greatly from its distant cousin, the mobile home or trailer.
