looking for furniture in Sydney

I’m on the hunt for new furniture. I just moved to Sydney. I’m not sure exactly how I ended up in Australia, but I know it involves a house-mate and a bat. Anyway, I couldn’t take my furniture with me when I moved, since I could not afford the cost of shipping. I could barely afford the plane ticket over here. I’ll be living here for a good long while, though, so I want to get some of the high quality furniture Sydney has to offer. I’d like to buy locally, and be able to continue to work with the people from whom I buy. Does anyone have any suggestions?
