Nosing Into The Neighbour’s Air Conditioning Needs

It was no business of mine to interfere with whatever my new neighbour was up to. But I couldn’t help overhearing when she mentioned to her husband about wanting to buy a portable air conditioner for themselves.The next time I chanced to see her outside in the front of the house, I blurted out, perhaps a little too enthusiastically, “I know where you can find the best portable air conditioner. Would you like me to take you there and show you?”I held my breath as for a moment her face seemed to reflect a slight disdainful look. Maybe she didn’t quite like nosy neighbours like me poking into her personal affairs.But then, she began to smile and said brightly, “Why not?”So it looks like I’ve made a new friend out of my neighbour now. I guess it doesn’t hurt to be helpful sometimes.
