A Tip From A Good Friend

A while ago I had some money handed to me and I did not know quite what to do with it.  I was talking to a friend of mine who told me he had some tips on some really great stocks.  He had been watching them for a while and decided to put some of his own money into them.  He told me they were really the stocks to watch for myself as well.  He had done some careful research on them and found that they are currently doing well but have the potential to be real winners in the future.  For some people, the second they get a great tip on a stock they buy into it immediately so as not to miss out on any gains in that stock.  Others, wait and wait until they see a trend and then they buy into it and when the trend starts to make a dip, they then sell.  I have been investing for a while now and before I do I always consult my friends or family to see what shares they have.  We all basically like the same sectors and follow the stock market on a daily basis.  My parents started me investing when I was pretty young and I have been interested ever since.  I have always sought the advice of them as well because my dad had been very successful in his career as a stock broker and seemed to know exactly where to put his money and it always paid off handsomely for him.
