Apistogramma are housed in small aquariums make sure that you keep the water maintain its quality. Maintaining quality water in small aquarium can be tricky sometimes. It is best to house Apistogramma cichlids in medium sized aquarium. This species requires adequate filtration and regular water changes. It is best also if you can put some floating plants. Floating mop is useful as spawning mop. Each apistogramma should be given their own flowerpot. Therefore the number of flowerpots will depend on how many they are in one aquarium. Scavengers can be also added together with the apistogramma. The aquarium should maintain at least 10 gallon of water.
