Paul’s Theories on Hell

The Jewish world was made up of Hellenistic Jews (who became Christian) and anti-Hellenistic Jews (who followed the rabbinic movement), both of whom evolved from Pharisaic backgrounds. It was the difference between Paul’s old Pharisaic beliefs and the Hellenistic solution that lay at the foundation of his Damascus Road experience.  This experience set Paul’s theology of Views on Hell and heaven.  For Boyarin the Damascus Road epoch for Paul prompted a new interpretation of Bible of the old order that was rooted in a “Jewish apocalypse” tradition.  But if we look at all this material, the old order and the new truths in the first century, what do we find?  A gold mine of truth.
