Why is remote PC software so expensive?

It’s really strange, but I don’t understand why some software packages are so expensive while others are so cheap. I mean if you look at some productivity software that’s on the market today that sells for around 10 bucks or less, you have to wonder why remote PC software can go for 10 times or 20 times that amount. I guess it’s because with this kind of software you’re basically targeting professionals who do some serious work on their computer and probably do deals in the millions of dollars. So of course they need constant access to their computers whereever they are.
