Church Volunteer Services

When I was ready to graduate from college, I thought a good deal about traveling with a purpose bigger than having a fun trip. I went to a Church of the Brethren college in Indiana. It was one of the most formative experiences of my life. It was a place where I thrived in many spheres of my life. I decided to investigate volunteering for a year or two. One of the things I looked at closely was how travel insurance would be covered and some idea of the cost. One of the things I learned was that the organization itself covered this cost as well as health insurance and room and board. Anyone accepted within the program would get a small living allowance. Though I never went through with it at that time, I have considered doing so now that my family is grown and once again, I am looking to grow.
